Jersey 1st was founded by tax policy lawyer and advocate Rosemary Becchi in 2018 with the mission of advocating for economic and social policies in the best interests of New Jersey families and businesses. Jersey 1st recognizes the pivotal timing to effect change in New Jersey and will do so through strong grassroots organization, targeted advocacy, effective fundraising, innovative policy creation, and the implementation of a strong multi-media campaign.

Ashley has been on the Jersey 1st team since 2020 when she launched a successful internship program for future young professionals in a positive and rewarding environment. Ashley continually finds opportunities to network, market, and create partnerships to promote the mission of Jersey 1st. She is a 2020 graduate from Susquehanna University with a degree in Luxury Brand Marketing and Management. Her desire to support local communities and develop strategies to advocate for New Jerseyans continues to motivate her work on a daily basis.

Zachery Dora joined the Jersey 1st team as our new Internship Coordinator in 2023. Zach graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelors in Diplomacy and International Relations with two minors in Political Science and Spanish. His experience with grassroots campaigns on the State and Federal Levels and a desire to make a change within local and state governments is what made him want to join Jersey 1^st.
